Abstract
In addition to fostering children’s physical health, physical education (PE) also helps children develop mentally, emotionally, and socially. This is why it is such an important component of children’s overall development. Participating in physical activities on a consistent basis not only improves motor skills, coordination, and cardiovascular health, but it also fosters cognitive growth and academic success. Physical education helps students develop important life qualities such as leadership, discipline, teamwork, and mental toughness. In addition, it assists youngsters in developing healthy levels of self-esteem and properly managing stress. Through the inculcation of good behaviours at an early age, physical education makes a contribution to long-term well-being and lowers the risk of illnesses that are associated with lifestyle choices. The purpose of this abstract is to provide an overview of the role that physical education plays in the development of well-rounded persons who are ready to face difficulties in the areas of physical, social, and psychological development.
