Abstract
By offering more accessibility, flexibility, and individualised learning opportunities, the quick adoption of digital technologies in education has revolutionised teaching and learning. But there are also serious worries about students’ mental health and how it affects their academic performance due to the growing reliance on digital learning settings. With an emphasis on the psychological, social, and academic aspects that impact students, this study investigates the connection between student mental health and academic success in digital learning environments. Key mental health issues that may have a detrimental effect on students’ motivation, focus, engagement, and general academic success are covered, including stress, anxiety, depression, digital fatigue, social isolation, and anxiety related to technology. The study delves deeper into the ways in which digital technologies, such as virtual peer support networks, mental health applications, online counselling services, and artificial intelligence-based support systems, might enhance psychological well-being. It also emphasises how educational institutions, educators, parents, and legislators may create supportive digital learning environments by implementing student-centered educational policies, flexible teaching methods, and mental health awareness campaigns. The study comes to the conclusion that preserving students’ mental health is essential to raising academic achievement and guaranteeing long-term educational results in the digital age. Improving students’ learning experiences and fostering their general growth requires a comprehensive strategy that incorporates technology, mental health care, and good pedagogy.
