Abstract
The concept of moral consciousness and social harmony occupies a central place in the philosophical and literary thoughts of Rabindranath Tagore and Acharya Tulsi. Both thinkers emphasized the importance of ethical values, human dignity, and spiritual development for the creation of a harmonious society. Tagore advocated universal humanism, compassion, and the cultivation of inner freedom, viewing morality as the foundation of social unity and global brotherhood. Similarly, Acharya Tulsi, through the Anuvrat Movement, promoted moral discipline, non-violence, truthfulness, and self-restraint as essential principles for social transformation. Their ideas highlight the interrelationship between individual character and collective well-being, stressing that social harmony can only be achieved through ethical conduct and mutual respect. This study explores the similarities and distinctive features of their moral philosophies and examines their relevance in addressing contemporary challenges such as social conflict, moral decline, and cultural fragmentation. The findings demonstrate the enduring significance of their teachings in fostering a just, peaceful, and value-oriented society.
